My name is Maya Florendo, and I am a student at Oakwood High School. Growing up in a military family, I have had the opportunity to live in various places and meet people from diverse backgrounds. This experience has shaped me into an extroverted, easy-going, driven, hardworking and compassionate individual. Additionally, my involvement in team sports, mainly soccer, has taught me to thrive under pressure and collaborate effectively and efficiently with others. I believe I would be a good fit for this job because I genuinely enjoy interacting with and helping people, primarily in a medical setting. Through my Allied Health Career Course (which earned my phlebotomy technician license and State Tested Nurse Aide certification), participating in the Dayton Children's volunteer program (50+ hours), volunteering at Kettering Health Hospital (100+ hours), and becoming an Adventures in Movement instructor (50+ hours), I have truly found my love for healthcare and hope to pursue a further career in it. I firmly believe I would be a perfect fit for your team.
