Maya Kamla Vira

• As a laboratory assistant, my responsibilities consisted of providing original slides, a 15-minute lecture, and instructing students in the lab. Additionally, I held my own office hours to assist students with class material and studies.

Part-time (50% Teaching Assistantship)

• Graded assignments, such as homework, quizzes, and midterm and final exams. In addition to grading, I gave comments on the individual questions, as needed. I also addressed re-grade requests in a timely manner.

Part-time (25% Teaching Assistantship)

• Worked with elementary students with behavioral and educational issues and helped children develop coping skills and regulate their emotions before an outburst.

Full-Time

• Worked with Dr. Amy Bender on investigating the atmospheric effects on the South Pole Telescope. Made maps to measure the atmospheric fluctuations in summer fields, as seen by SPT-3G over time. Wrote a paper and presented a poster.
