Healing Transitions of Wake County

This organization helps men and women who are struggling with homelessness and addiction/alcoholism. It is a long-term, in patient facility that allows these individuals to stay free of charge while they recover from alcoholism/addiction, and regain their footing in society. I have seen miracles happen inside the walls of this facility. Every week, I do my absolute best to give my time to these ladies in whatever way I can. They appreciate clothing donations, food donations, health and beauty products, and more than anything, just my time and to know that I care. A lot of these women have been separated from their children and families. My own children have been going up to the facility with me since they were very little. They love it up there! All the ladies up there just love all over them, as their hearts are often broken and yearn for their own children. I have found a true symbiotic relationship with this facility. The clients there give me just as much joy, gratitude and appreciation as I hopefully give them.
