Mayara Marques Da Costa

I earned my Bachelor's degree in architecture from a university in Brazil in 2020. Throughout my academic journey, I gained valuable experience as an intern in interior design for two semesters and as an intern architect for one semester. These experiences have equipped me with a lot of knowledge and good skills.

Despite graduating amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I navigated the circumstances by diversifying my experience. I spent two years working in telemarketing while concurrently establishing my small visual identity company, utilizing my art design abilities honed in college. Subsequently, I embarked on a rewarding two-year au pair experience, seeking personal growth, cultural exploration, and enhancing my proficiency in English.

Now in my second year of the au pair program, I am prepared for the next phase of my career. My plan includes pursuing a master's degree to further my expertise in architecture, particularly in the North American context. I believe my diverse professional background has endowed me with a versatile skill set, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning.

Despite a brief hiatus from the industry, I have remained committed to staying abreast of advancements in the architecture field. My diligence, focus, and energy, coupled with my reputation as a quick learner and hard worker, instill confidence in my ability to swiftly acquire any new skills required for success.

• Research Project

I collaborated with a team to conduct research, develop, and prototype instructional teaching materials for descriptive geometry. Alongside the team, I contributed to the preparation of an article that comprehensively outlined the entire process of creating and utilizing the materials we developed.

• Topography Tutoring

Support the teacher in the classroom by supervising and aiding students with inquiries during class activities, as well as ensuring their readiness for exams.
