· Coordinates the resolution of patient accounts and verifies demographic and insurance information.

· Works on accounts receivables in assigned areas to maximize reimbursement.

· Supports the supervisor, medical billing with training and educating new staff on all system, Epic, Insurance verification, internet sides.

· Collaborates with Neurology department in the process to review, enter pt. information and bill Intraoperative Monitoring Services.

· Submits completed batches to appropriate billing offices daily.

• Accurately assign ICD-10 CM and/or CPT-4 record code(s) and sequence diagnosis and procedures per patient medical record.
• Reconcile clinical notes, patient encounter form, and health information for compliance with HIPPA rules.
• Ensured code data accurately reflects service provided, based on documentation, guarding against fraud and abuse.
• Provide coding and documentation advice to the coding unit, clinical and professional staff.
