I started working at LA Fitness as a child care worker for their Kids Club room. My day to day responsibilities included supervising and caring for children aged three months to thirteen years old. Within a few months working at LA Fitness, I developed a good relationship with the club's sales manager and the district sales VP. I expressed my interest in marketing and offered my ideas to help boost brand awareness and aid in generating new leads for the club. I created multiple advertisements for new promotions by unitizing Canva. I also introduced an artistic display for members entering the club that would change weekly, I was soon offered the role of marketing manager for the LA Fitness Commack location. My responsibilities included collaborating with the sales team to develop marketing strategies, launching successful digital marketing campaigns on our Instagram platform, engaging with our members to fully understand their wants and needs, perfecting our brand message and correctly relaying it to our current and future members.
I first began caring for children when I was thirteen years old and continue to do it today. As I have always been very responsible, many families have trusted their children in my care throughout the years. While being a childcare provider, I have developed extremely strong relationships with families that have lasted to today. I have cared for children of all ages and all abilities. My responsibilities while caring for children are to facilitate learning through play, crafts and activities. I am also responsible for preparing healthy meals based on dietary requirements, taking children to scheduled activities, taking children to and from school, making sure the children remain hygenic and aiding the children in all nighttime routines. I have worked with numerous children with disabilities, utilizing my creativity in order to better communicate and understand them. My responsibilities as a receptionist at a tennis facility included greeting incoming visitors in a professional and friendly manner. I developed numerous relationships with the cliental of the club, as I find it very important to remember everyone who regularly used our facility. I was also responsible for scheduling all appointments and overseeing the bookings for the day to ensure the club ran smoothly. I communicated with clients to update personal records and answered all incoming calls, directing them to the correct offices. I kept the reception area clean in order to uphold the reputation of the club and aided the cliental with any problems or complaints they may have. In addition, I handled all cash transactions and maintained accurate payment records. I also supported my management by completing clerical tasks such as data entry, scanning and photocopying documents. I was able to utilize my multitasking abilities in order to get all this done in a timely manner. I was also responsible for opening and closing the entire facility multiple days a week. Furthermore, I took on the task of learning how to restring tennis rackets in order to help the tennis department stay on top of orders made by the club members.
I starting working at Waters Edge following a quarantine caused by the Covid-19 virus. I chose to attend online schooling and not work at this time due to intense health risks that people within my home faced. While working at Waters Edge I handled high-pressure situations with grace and maintained top tier service for our guests. As Waters Edge is a very popular wedding venue, many of our events were top scale and of great importance. I was responsible for setting up seating, tables and all decorations for numerous parties. I greeted all guests with a welcoming demeanor and aided in wedding ceremonies. I was responsible for collecting 60 plus drink and meal orders a night and delivering them to guests in a timely manner. I remained calm and poised when faced with a problem during a busy shift exhibited strong multitasking abilities. I used clear communication with my team in order to ensure everyone had a positive experience when visiting our venue. I enhanced customer satisfaction by providing attentive service and constantly checking-in on all my guests throughout the night. I also demonstrated quick learning techniques and adaptiveness when memorizing new menus and offerings for our guests. I worked at Crestwood as a camp counselor for girls aged six to eight years with varying developmental levels. My responsibilities while working at Crestwood included ensuring all children got to their activities on time, enforcing camp rules, continuously ensuring the children's safety and responding promptly to any incidents or concerns that may arise. I led a group of 28 children safely through the camp ground, acting as a positive role model and demonstrating the camp's core values. I worked closely with other camp counselors and leaders to design enriching learning activities for the campers throughout the summer. I fostered an accepting and inclusive environment for all my campers and helped young children do that as well. I prioritized conflict resolution between the campers and made sure all children were happy and participating. I participated in regular staff meetings to discuss current issues and to develop strategies for improvements. I supported campers in realizing their full potentials through encouragement when facing each activity. In addition, I assisted in the maintenance of the camp to ensure all campers left with a positive experience.
I have trained in multiple forms of martial arts since I was three years old including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Goshin, Muy Tai and Pakiti. I got my first job working at my Dojo when I was fourteen years old. I began teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and aided in the education of these students. I utilized the Jiu Jitsu curriculum and helped my students improve their skills. I focused on growing the Jiu Jitsu knowledge of my students in order to make them better equip when performing in a Jui Jitsu match. I provided one-on-one coaching for my students and build trusting and positive relationships. I helped my students grow their confidence and created real-world self-defense scenarios to practice during class. I established a safe training space and regularly disinfected the mats and equipment after each class. My classes encouraged students to feel a sense of camaraderie and fostered a supportive learning environment. I also collaborated with other instructors to create a diverse training programs that accommodated all individual needs. I also acted as a positive role model for young girls in my classes, as I was the only female training with boys and men in the older classes.
