I have been at LKQ for over 7 years, I started as a cashier soon after I got a promotion to accounting assistant; after a few years at that position I received another promotion to accounting manager and have been at that position for right at 3 years. During my time as account manager I learned many skills from managing a small group of people, making sure numbers are correct through out the day and year, and how to deal with any new and stress full conditions that may arise. I have consistently maintained an A+ rating when my location has been Audited.
A normal day for me is making sure the office is ready for the day, money is out and accounted for, for the front counter, then check my emails to see what the day quota is and what tasks may need to be done throughout the work day, i answer calls from our customers regarding the accounts and any questions they may have with billing, payments, etc. Also, anytime the front counter is short handed I will help out the best I can with keeping it up and running. After lunch, I thoroughly skim through any accounts and make sure none need to be balanced. Then I do accounts payable and receivables. At the end of the day I make sure all money is correct in the drawers and also on any accounts and prepare the deposit for the following day. At the end of every week u also so payroll.
