A big accomplishment of mine is that here at the South Dakota State University campus there is an organization called State A Thon. This organization is one that is very important to me, in which I hold the External Vice President position. Having been in this organization for three years, our main goal is to fundraise for the children that are being treated in the Sanford Children's hospital. Advocating and raising awareness of their lives and the adaptations that they have made due to their diagnoses. Through student engagement and encouragement our campus works to raise funds for the children and their families being treated. Through my role as Vice President, I can better help facilitate a relationship between the children in the castle and the students here on campus. By implementing cause connection, I help make a difference in the children's lives and bring awareness to students here on campus.
In 2021 I was named the Iowa State Fair Queen. After competing for three days against 103 young women I was chosen to represent the state of Iowa. My duties required me to teach about agricultural importance throughout the entire state of Iowa, attend county fairs, judge county queen contests, host workshops, and remain active on social media. To complete this task, I advocated for agriculture by attending 61 county fairs out of the 99 county fairs in the state of Iowa. Through numerous speeches and hosting a helpful camp two years in a row in my local community, I fulfilled my role. To summarize my experience, I was able to relieve my year as the Iowa State Fair queen by attending the Iowa State Fair and giving a farewell speech in front of hundreds to demonstrate my leadership and be the face of the ISF!
