I am responsible for making food, maintaining a clean kitchen, sales floor, and bathroom, cleaning dishes, customer service, cash handling, POS operation, taking out the trash, and safety at gas pumps. Every shift, I am asked to do something different and always need to be prepared for whatever is asked of me.

Responsibilities include opening and closing, re-shelving books, checking materials in and out, maintaining a clean environment, providing customer service, and understanding the Dewey decimal system.

I started as a sales associate in 2018 and was promoted to part-time assistant manager in the Fall of 2020. As a sales associate, I was responsible for keeping the store clean, merchandise tidy, customer service, register, cash handling, sales, and processing and placing new merchandise. As a part-time assistant manager, I was responsible for all my previous duties, as well as opening and closing the store, running the sales floor, and creating displays.
