- Experienced in handling bulk production for Columbia Sportswear Company, Marks & Spencer, Van Heusen, Big Star & Dunne's Stores. Sourcing & development portion of CSC
- Experienced with Kids wear, Ladies and Men's wear related fabric and products.
- Checked in-house bulk fabrics inspection, shade, shading, shrinkage, & testing issues before cutting.
- Communicated with mills for quality issues & the need to bring replacement fabrics on time to avoid any short shipment.
- Followed up with daily emails to make sure each development is done on time. Kept an accurate track record.
- Sourced all kind of Fabrics, both woven (denim/non-denim/synthetic) & knit from 50 plus overseas mills worldwide.
- Developed or counter sourced new fabrics with suppliers according to buyer's requirements in target price.
- Visited the supplier's mills on some issues & developed new suppliers for better sourcing & stronger relations.
- Reviewed the fabric collections presented by suppliers at our office & discussed with them their strength on price, raw material source, machineries facility.
- Assisted the merchandising team to get the sample yardage from suppliers to make the sample garments.
- Assisted the Designers to select the right fabric to develop the garments according to their styles/ based on images/ mood board / based on buyer requirements.
- Checked the required test results for freshly developed fabrics & advised the supplier accordingly if quality needs to improve to get the pass result.
- Developed the hand looms, strike off & lab-dip (by pantone number/ color standard) from suppliers to share with buyer for color approval.
