
I am an assistant psychologist, graduated in psychology from Bangladesh with almost eight years of practical working experiences at NGO, INGO, UN Migration & UNHCR. I have one year hands on job training with Anderson Centre for Autism, NY, USA. I bring a warm practical approach around children and young adult. My therapeutic approach is holistic and inclusive, working together with families and school to build a supportive team around the young person. I am very committed to a coordinated approach and theory of change in the provision of individual therapy for children, family centered, school consultation, and positive behavior support.
(A) Attended a fellowship program at Anderson Centre for Autism, USA as an International Fellow. Fellowship has started from 01/09/23 & continued up to 01/08/24.
(B) Publication: "Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire: Adaptation and Validation Study in Bangladeshi Culture" a research paper has been published in JIAAP (Journal of the Indian Academy of Applied Psychology), January 2024, Volume 50, No 01, Scopus index 2011-2018, PsycINFO etc.
(C) Publication: "Autistic Intensity in Relations to the Demographic Variables of parents" published on Archives of Neurology and Neurosurgery (ANN), Volume 2 (1): 39-42, Archive Neurol Neurosurgery, 2018, USA.
(D) Conference paper: 7th International Conference on "Global Peach through Emotional Literacy in Education and Psychology of Management" (GP-TEL-EPM 2017). It was held on 12/02/17 at Kathmandu, Nepal. My research title was "Mental Health Status of the parents of autistic children" & published in WWA International Journal.
(E) Reached out more than 1000 children with developmental deficits (Autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, language disorder, developmental delay, speech sound disorder, pragmatic communication disorder, specific learning disorder, motor disorder, stereotypic movement disorder etc.) face to face consultation in Alokito Shishu Treatment based Autism School, International Organization for Migration (IOM), BRAC in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
(F) Reached out more than 2000 hours psychoeducation session with parents of developmental deficits (Autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, language disorder, developmental delay, speech sound disorder, pragmatic communication disorder, specific learning disorder, motor disorder, stereotypic movement disorder etc.).
(G) Introduced the social learning skills on Individual Educational Plan (IEP) for children with developmental disorders like Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability etc.
(H) Conducted 500 counseling sessions (free of cost through phone calls) with the parents of developmental deficits throughout the pandemic (03/01/20-08/31/21).
(I) Conducted 500 hours stress management sessions with the parents of developmental disorders like Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability etc. as a part of self-care of daily living.
(J) Conducted 500 hours anger management sessions with the parents of developmental disorders like Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability etc. as a part of self-care of daily living.
(K) Active role as an advisor of Social Action Plan on "Ensure the Rights in Person with Disability", it was a social awareness campaign that has started from 11/01/14 & successfully continued up to 04/30/15 at Jagannath University, Dhaka. It was won the 1st Best Social Action Plan Award at Active Citizens Dhaka Regional Achiever's Summit 2015 on the 29th of March, 2015. Organized by The Hunger Project & British Council Bangladesh.
(L) Conducted a Signature Campaign on "Ensure the Rights in Person with Disability" at Jagannath University Campus as a part of social awareness within the 20 thousand students of Jagannath University, Dhaka. Organized by The Hunger Project & British Council Bangladesh.
