Accomplishments

    * Designed a paper level gauge using AutoCAD 3D models in August 2022, enabling the production department to effectively utilize 24,000 current collectors with QR code defects. The gauge continues to be utilized daily across all shifts on the production line. By implementing this solution, production has successfully salvaged approximately 120,000 defective current collectors to date, resulting in significant cost savings.

    * Identified inefficiencies in step verification process using calipers, which consumed 5 to 15 minutes per check for production associates and quality technicians. Designed and implemented a new step gauge to streamline the verification process, ensuring current collectors consistently met specifications without step issues. The new gauge reduced verification time significantly and improved ease of use, contributing to enhanced efficiency and quality control in production operations.
