  • While there I maintained their website and social media bringing attention to their brand, resources and services to the hundreds of contacts within the disability industry and community that I have fostered over years of involvement
  • I was laid off with many others due to the current mandate regarding CDFIs.

  • I ran this lucrative business until the events of 9/11 affected the travel industry to such an extent that I changed my career direction and secured my position at Volt Technical Resources

  • I also started running the Business Advisory Council meetings - for each high-tech class offered a BAC Board of Directors was maintained to oversee the curriculum, equipment and textbook donations and scholarship funding
  • Within a year I was promoted again - to Office Manager of the school
  • This was the most challenging role and included opening of the school in the morning, closing the school at night and everything in between that had to do with the day-to-day operation and management of a non-profit vocational technical school for students with disabilities
  • I also started their first support group – Project ReaCH: People with Disabilities Reaching Towards a Positive Approach to Living
