My name is Megan-Ashley and I'm from Shreveport Louisiana my father is a dentist at the foot of the Jimmy Davis bridge in Bossier City. It's a funny story but I began working in his office at 17 years old, I worked through high school until my senior year at Evangel Christian academy and worked full-time through my senior year training in his office to be an assistant or office management or financial coordinator or lab technician. I transferred to Chicago Illinois area at the age of 19 with my then husband on a football scholarship. I worked for an orthodontist office, and then transferred to a general dentist office where I was able to go to the University of Chicago School of dentistry and get my expanded duties dental assistant license. It's for assistance, prophylaxis, x-ray technician, lab technician, stock and ordering, lab routing, patient care, insurance collecting, , front desk and financial coordinating. I remained in Illinois for several years before transferring back to the Shreveport area. I worked at a prosthodontist office and several general dentist offices and on and off again at my father's practice. Ultimately I fell in love with pediatrics and ended up in a Shreveport office doing pediatric services specializing in children with special needs like autism and Asperger's and anesthesia. I'm also licensed to administer gas and administer sealants. I have grown up around the dentist office and helped in every aspect including several of my dad's friends offices organizing and transferring computer data to updated software. I temporarily moved to the Dallas Texas area and worked for two general dentist offices while I was there for a brief time. Since moving back, I have worked in non-profit, and focusing on family. I'm a very energetic charismatic genuine person who cares about patient interaction patient understanding and patient education and have a patient attitude towards their fears or concerns financially or physically. I enjoy knowing what to provide my dentist prior to him telling me. I like to be familiar with my surroundings and familiar with the staff around me. I do however know my place and my pay grade and do not expect to be treated differently because of my father's position. My Hope is that you will take the time to call me at 318-286-3632 and set up a personal interview for the near future. I have 22 to 23 years experience and I am 43 years old married with one child of my own and two step sons. I'm looking for a long-term investment on both parties. Please consider me for any availability in your office.
