I had the pleasure of performing assessments on patients, taking vital signs, performing blood glucose checks, IV insertion and removal, NG tube insertion and removal, catheter insertion and removal, bed baths, linen changes, wound cleaning and applying new dressings, colostomy change, JP drain emptying, oral, rectal, transdermal and parenteral medication administration, primed and hung IV tubing, and chart I&Os under appropriate nursing supervision

I performed skills such as supervised medication administration, female/male catheter insertion and extraction, IV insertion and extraction, obtained vital signs, applied pulse oximetry, educated on incentive spirometry use, communicated and educated effectively, gave bed baths and changed linens, cleaned and dressed wounds, primed and hung IV tubing under appropriate nursing supervision .

For my first clinical experience I applied skills such as bed to chair transfers, linen changes, bed baths, feeding patients requiring assistance, providing oral care, hair washing. I also was able to practice patient interactions and become better at communicating with patients.
