• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process, as well as delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.

• Managing patients with various respiratory conditions, which may include administering oxygen therapy, managing non-invasive ventilation (e.g., BiPAP, CPAP, Airvo), and collaborating with respiratory therapists on ventilator management.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with physicians and other team members to address patient/family concerns, ensuring a smooth transition of care. This includes providing thorough updates on the patient's condition, advocating for patient needs, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Maintaining/providing thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, and communication in the electronic health record.
• Providing comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Providing emotional support and addressing the psychological needs of patients and their families through empathetic communication, listening, addressing concerns promptly, and connecting them with appropriate resources.
• Adherence to strict infection control protocols and actively monitoring for potential complications.
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge on advancements in critical care nursing through continuing education opportunities and professional affiliations.

Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living. Keep assigned patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly. Obtain vital signs, height, weight, blood glucose levels, and I&Os. Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by Staff RN. Document patient data accurately and completely. All other duties as assigned.
