Caregiver for a Special Needs Child with Rett Syndrome

12.2022 - Current
  • I babysit for a family with a daughter that has Rett Syndrome, a genetic disorder where she is not able to express herself like a neurotypical child
  • This is a rare disorder that primarily affects girls and causes progressive loss of motor skills and language
  • I am her only babysitter, outside of family and her school one-on-ones, as they have trouble trusting others with her feeding tube, and balance issues as well as risk for potential seizures
  • I babysit her two younger neurotypical siblings as well

Customer Service Staff

Publix
11.2022 - Current
  • The everyday of a customer service staff at Publix includes, customer confrontation intervention, scheduling, approving price changes, voiding items, walking the store, helping team members, relieving for breaks, counting tills, paging overhead, bagging, being available for unexpected coverage, closing and opening the cash office to keep the store on top of over/short amounts of money service transactions, grocery transactions, lottery, and liquor store transactions as well as many other service tasks not listed here

Nanny for a Family with 5 Children

01.2022 - 08.2024
  • I worked for a family with 5 children spanning from the ages of one to thirteen years old
  • I drove their two daughters back and forth from their sports activities, babysat the one-year-old while the mother was in and out of the house working from home, took their oldest son back and forth to baseball practice, while also building close relationships with the children and being an extra mentor for them

Leader/Friend

YoungLife
09.2023 - 05.2024
  • I led eighth grade girls in a church group called WyldLife, which is a middle school version of YoungLife
  • I would do tasks such as lead their small groups, be a chaperone at their camps, help them grow closer in their relationship with God, while also being a mentor to them
  • I assisted many of the girls by guiding them down the right path throughout their last year of middle school when the drama gets extensive, and mental health statistically suffers
  • I was a shoulder to cry on and a voice of reason to resolve arguments, by also showing the girls how to see both sides of situations through the eyes of Christ and with their own positive discretion to display how to be responsible young women

Camp Counselor for Special Needs Children

Foundation for Dreams at Dream Oaks Camp
06.2022 - 06.2023
  • I assisted in celebrating the abilities and development of comprehensive skills of children with special needs and chronic illnesses ages 7-17 by collaborating with families to provide individualized result-based goals and family support in a camp environment
  • Some special needs and chronic illnesses of children that I have personally worked with include but are not limited to, Cerebral Palsy, all spectrums of autism, trauma, Rett Syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, severe behavioral issues, Traumatic Brain Injuries, extreme OCD and ADHD
  • I typically had 1-4 children at a time with one assistant under me, and these children would be in my care from Monday-Friday with overnights if parents allowed

Server

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice

  • Server for ice cream with drive through and window experience
  • Working as a team, difficult customers, as well as money handling skills

Work Crew

YoungLife
12.2023
  • In high school I was able to serve as a work crew server for a weekend
  • This job entailed cleaning and setting up a dining hall for 100+ other high school students and faculty as well as serving their food, taking note of any dietary restrictions, and being a friendly face they could depend on around the camp
  • Through this experience I was able to attend breakout groups myself, which assisted me in becoming closer in my faith with God while keeping a selfless heart to serve others around me

YoungLives Work Crew

YoungLife
12.2022
  • While teen moms got the opportunity of a lifetime to experience a typical high school summer camp while also growing a relationship with the Lord, they can give their kids to trusting and loving individuals for hours at a time so they could have a stress free, fun experience with other kids their age
  • They get the opportunity to mingle with other young moms while also being surrounded by teenagers that don’t have kids of their own
