I have always been passionate about teaching. I finally got the opportunity to pursue my career by enrolling in college part-time in 2018 for my associate degree in Early Childhood. Recently, I have been able to go full-time as a student to complete my degree, and I will be graduating in December 2024 with my bachelor's.
During my time in college, I have worked as a work-study in the CFDC department and learned a lot from my mentors about what it takes to be a successful teacher. Now I have the privilege of working with students with disabilities, ages 18 an older. An experience that has ignited a passion in me for helping children with special needs. I am currently still working with this population, which has allowed me to expand my knowledge and develop skills that are essential for becoming a teacher.
