  • RN to validate vitals obtained by PCT.
  • RN to obtain personal information regarding patient’s allergies, medication list, and medical/surgical history, as well as any pertinent information regarding the wound/burn.
  • RN to re-dress the wound/burn according to the physician’s detailed orders. This included a variety of medications/creams specific to patient’s healing process, as well as applying wound vacs.

  • Obtain vitals, remove old dressings, cleanse the wound/burn, debride the burn, measure the would/burn, and take a photo of the progression/initial encounter of the wound/burn.
  • Cross-trained to the inpatient burn unit where basic patient care was performed, as well as hydro baths which consisted of debriding burns and dressing burns using a sterile field.
  • Cross trained to telemetry where vitals were obtained every four hours, as well as basic patient care was performed.
