Summary

I'm attending Eastern Arizona College this fall and will be studying Graphic Design. I have recently returned from my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I began working when I was 15 years old and enjoy being able to learn new things. In the past, I have worked as a lifeguard, a swim instructor, a swim team coach, and a cook. In all of these jobs I had the opportunities to learn different skills.

In lifeguarding I learned how to work effectively in keeping others safe and keep the pool area safe. When 2020 happened, I wanted to continue to work, so I taught children in our neighborhood to swim. I was also a pool supervisor, making sure covid restrictions were honored, which included cleaning following the general guidelines after swimmers were done. As a swim instructor I l worked with kids of different ages and different learning styles. This helped me grow a love for working with children and understanding different personalities. I was able to teach kids to have basic life saving swimming skills at Rancho Sahuarita and was later hired as a swim instructor with the Sahuarita Stingrays. I was hired to coach for the Stingrays, a team that I swam with competitively for many years. I enjoyed teaching swimmers and helping them fine tune their skills and help them to progress and accomplish their goals. I helped with meet management, including set up, take down and making sure swimmers were at their races.

Before my mission, while attending EA, I worked at Gila Hank Cafe as a cook. I learned how to work quickly and effectively in a fast pace environment. I also learned the importance of a clean working environment.

As a missionary, I learned people skills and how to better communicate with others. I was able to serve in leadership positions that were stretching and rewarding.

Thank you for considering me for this position.
