• Provide comprehensive critical care to high-acuity trauma and complex surgical patients in a Level I Trauma Center SICU.
• Utilize advanced assessment skills, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice to recognize and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Manage mechanically ventilated patients requiring invasive hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, central venous access, and continuous vasoactive medication infusions.
• Rapidly recognize and intervene in hemodynamic instability, sepsis, septic shock, respiratory failure, and hemorrhagic shock.
• Deliver evidence-based care to patients with multiple organ dysfunction and complex postoperative needs while collaborating with multidisciplinary critical care and surgical teams.
• Prioritize and coordinate care for multiple critically ill patients while maintaining patient safety, medication accuracy, infection prevention, and continuity of care.
• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care while educating and supporting patients and families throughout critical illness.
