Empathetic and dedicated individual with a background in Criminal Justice, Forensic Psychology and experience in the United States Air Force seeks to leverage skills and knowledge to support the mental health and well-being of clients. Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree to further enhance qualifications.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and practices of the Child Development Center.
• Facilitates cognitive, social and emotional development using knowledge of early child development theory, methodology, and practices relating to physical, intellectual, social, and nutritional development.
• Assists trainer by notifying her of any classroom material and equipment deficiencies to include in curriculum supply orders.
• Mentors child development program assistants in center’s program operations and regulations, assessing the needs of the parents and children, educating and advising program technicians based on their level of training.
• Observing and training new and existing staff, reporting to supervisor and/ or trainer the effectiveness of employees, and their skill in relation to suitability of placement within a specific age group.
• Proficiency in compiling student data, both narrative and quantitative, to be used by external agencies such as Child Find and Early Intervention, as well as developmental questionnaires used by medical professionals to assist with diagnosis of possible learning delays.
• Designs creative and innovative activity plans for both weekly activities and special events, creating fliers for advertisement purposes, and participates in community and military events to support the mission of the Child Development Center.
• Assures children’s safety and comfort through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper management of equipment, and reinforcement of proper hygiene practices.
• Completes any other task assigned by the Director to assist with the operations of the Child Development Center.
