  • Functioned for last 2 years as a Clinical Leader (Charge RN), supervising nurses and patient techs, assisting with admissions and discharge coordination, making safe yet challenging patient assignments, overseeing patient safety, assisting with medical emergencies and rapid responses on the unit, and serving as a unit resource and link between the floor nurses and management, often being in charge with a half/full assignment.
  • Monitored patients' conditions with initial baseline assessment and reported changes in presentation, work of breathing, mental status and vital sign changes to physicians.
  • Acted as preceptor and student nurse preceptor to many students and new graduate RNs. Was nominated by unit as "Preceptor of the Year" in 2023.
  • One of my unit's "Vascular Access Champions", meaning if I am on shift anyone can call for assistance with IV placements and difficult phlebotomy.
  • Experienced in Med-Surg, however, unit often sees overflow of many specialties, including neurology, cardiology, GI, oncology, general surgery, trauma, endocrine, neonatology, and transplant.
  • BLS, Trauma, and CPN certified.
