5th Grade Chorus Director and 5-8 General Music Teacher.

Developed and continually refined a culturally sustaining general music and 5th grade choral program to adapt to student interests and needs.

Directed theatrical production for Spring 2024 performance of Mama Mia and fall production of Moana Jr.

Partnered with FCMEA 5/6 choral chairperson to enhance student learning program, create practice materials for preparation and conducted 8 hours of rehearsal over two days culminating in a stellar performance.

• Developed a sincere love of singing for all students as a tool to build a strong school community.
• Established a strong sight-reading curriculum to ensure students' have the tools they need to be musically literate at the secondary level.
• Facilitated multiple community presentations including the annual holiday sing-a-long and Flag Day celebrations as well as partnering with the Saratoga Chamber Players Classroom to concert year long residency.
• Collaborated with the PTA as the musical director for the Lake Avenue Drama Club.
• Collaborated on Summer Curriculum projects.
• Provide students with the opportunity to learn music through Ukulele, Recorder and the Orff Instruments.
• Directed grade level choral concerts and class mini-musicals.
• Collaborated and presented on behalf of the Music Department to the Board of Education.

• Directed numerous 1-2 week Music Theatre International productions with children aged 6-12.
• Responsible for developing ideas and coordinating plans with set, sound and costume design personnel.

• Developed a love of music and singing for a predominantly impoverished student population.
• Reorganized the schedule to allow for primary music teachers to instruct the same classes verses splitting weekly classes. This allowed for more consistency in instruction.

• Collaborated with the PTA to resurrect and direct the 5th grade musical.
• Co-conducted the WCSD 2006 Elementary All-District Chorus.

• Instructed 6th grade general music with a strong emphasis on recorder.
• Instructed 7th grade music with a focus on West African music and drumming.
