• Provide skillful nursing care to medically complex patients with conditions such as acute stroke, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure requiring tracheostomy and ventilator care, and others
• Lead a diverse group of RNs, CNAs and travelers to provide safe and effective nursing care as a Relief Charge Nurse on a 28 bed step down unit
• Mentor and train nursing students, new grad RNs and experienced RNs and teach them about the unique and complex needs of our specific patient population as a Nurse Preceptor
• Collaborate and communicate with a multidisciplinary team to determine an individualized plan of care for patients recovery

• Provided direct care to medically complex patients with conditions such as stroke, trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, amputation, and ventilator weaning
• Collaborated with a diverse healthcare team to create a patient-centered plan of care for recovery
• Served as a preceptor for new hires and new graduate nurses, orienting them to the unit and assisting them in developing their patient care skills
• Responded to emergent changes in patient condition throughout the hospital and work to stabilize them as a part of the Rapid Response and Code Blue team

• Assisted in transitioning the facility into a Covid-19 Emergency Healthcare Center starting in April 2020

• Coordinated care for approximately 20-40 Covid-19 positive patients and delegated shift tasks to a team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs and CMAs

• Trained newly hired RNs and LPNs with varying levels of experience and taught them the unique care needs of Covid-19 patients
