Dedicated early childhood educator and provider with extensive experience and knowledge in nurturing infant, toddler and elementary age child development and education. I am well experienced in effective collaboration with parents and dynamic situations. My work has been in all title one public education schools, as well as caring for several infants and toddlers of military families, among once being a being a Navy spouse and mother myself. Most of my career has been serving below poverty level and with underserved communities in my role as a early childhood and special education educator. I became well versed early on at recognizing and responding appropriately to special needs, trauma and abuse. By using local community support, outreach resources and school programs, parents and children's needs were addressed with the appropriate help. My strength has been my ability to respectively work with diverse populations among different cultures in public education and childcare to ensure children's safety and well-being comes first. Offering effective, approachable communication and emotional support to parents of children in my care has included but not limited to helping with sleep schedules, achieving appropriate developmental milestones and maintaining healthy routines/schedule and a nurturing environment. Ready for a role that combines my years of experience with parents and children, effectively and promptly documents all data gathered and able to make meaningful contributions in the community.
From 2016 to 2025, I cared for 7 infants, one at a time, starting at 6 to 8 weeks and most I kept till 2 years. I offered families and friends, a one on one environment in my safe loving home where I would baby wear, work on sensory exploration, tummy time, rocking, singing and reading daily. I gave daily strolls outside and we played in sand, water, with ongoing opportunities for movement and learning through play and new experiences with textures and colors. Nature is our greatest connection. Im a firm believer in strengthening babies brain connections, enhancing cognitive and language development and starting early with fine and gross motor skills. Sensory play and exploration is how we homeschooled up to kindergarten with my own twins. Sleep is a big priority too with setting a gentle eat, play, sleep schedule in a safe and healthy environment. Almost every baby was the parents first child so I was their mentor in helping set schedules especially sleep, helping with feeding routines and knowing appropriate activities to help meet milestones. Many times I would help guide them to community resources and healthcare when needed. It has been a most joyful and fulfilling experience.
