Living Community
10.2011 - 02.2021
  • I started at Living Community in 2011 as a C.N.A and provided care to all patients- helped with activities of daily living and did as my charge nurse requested. I worked as a C.N.A until graduation of LPN in July of 2013. I then stayed full time at Living Community as an LPN and completed the daily medication passes, daily assessments, and helped the c.n.a’s with their tasks of ADL’s. I stayed PRN and received my RN in 2016. After completion of my RN boards, I was active at Living Community as a floor nurse, wound nurse and resource nurse as needed. I had multiple job titles and gave 100 percent in all my tasks. As nurse supervisor I am responsible for all patients and staff, I am available by phone for my 12.5-hour shift, made rounds and helped when my assistance was needed. I answered patients and family’s questions and concerns, did daily staffing, helped scheduling nurses with any staffing issues, available for the independent and assisted living side when needed. As a wound nurse I have the responsibilities of rounding on all active wounds in the building, measuring, applying proper treatments and protocols, contacting physicians when wound treatments were no longer working and referring to wound clinic when deemed necessary. As a floor nurse the tasks are unlimited; I do admissions, discharges, patient education, family educations, daily assessments, medication passes, obtain vitals, use my assessment skills and communication skills to contact providers when extra medical care is necessary to provide the proper care for my patients, such as when there is possible infections, patients health declining and etc. I am a team player and help the techs and other nurses as needed.
