  • I was trained in Electronic Leg Monitors (ELM) and Pretrial Release Bonds.
  • Electronic Leg Monitors were ordered by the Judge and had specific limitations and rules that needed to be followed
  • It involved weekly check in and monitoring every ELM user.
  • Pretrial Release Bonds were given to Inmates that had very little criminal history
  • Still requiring weekly check ins as well as communicating any Court dates or updates to the Inmate out on Pretrial Release.

Housing/Transfer/Admission and Release

  • I managed up to 72 Inmates in a pod at once
  • Ensured all Inmates were accounted for at all times and saw to everyone's safety and security
  • Maintain inmate movement throughout the secured perimeter.
  • The Duties of Transfer were to take Inmate to and from the Courthouse for Court dates and also transport Inmates to any appointments that were located outside the secured perimeter of the Jail.
  • Admission and Release is the Intake level
  • Every Inmate brought into the facility by an arresting agency was accepted and processed in
  • Identity was confirmed, personal information obtained then arraigned by a Magistrate Judge
  • Then given the opportunity to bond out
  • If they didn't bond out they would be sent to housing.
