I was a front end team lead for 6-7 months then switched to a food and consumables team lead and continuing that at the moment. My job on a day to day normally includes running a team huddle when my associates come in to get the on the same page and to give them a run down from the morning or afternoon meetings we attend as to make sure they know sales out metrics for items and our more further detailed work that we do. After that I would walk to the back and check my features the pallets left over and other items. We often try and get ok the computer to finish any u-learns which are work related videos or information that is updated for us to read and guide. The day just includes a lot of movement and trying to get our food, pets, chemicals, paper, and dairy items out on the floor as much as possible to make sales. We also just went through inventory so a lot of prepping pallets training on detailed items and counting.

On a day to day I would supervised daily cash handling and ensured accurate register count by end of day. I would trained and mentor new cashiers on customer service and stop policies.
Implemented different checkout procedures to enhance customer flow and help new cashiers understand better the workings and why the store does what they do and why it mattered. Resolved customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency as well as led team meetings to address performance issues and promote motivation. By the end of day I would managed daily cash deposits, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the bank. It would be a daily to accurately count drawers at start and end of each shift. Rarely I would coached employees on trained methods for handling various aspects of sales, complicated issues, and difficult customers as well as working the grill cleaning the fryers, accurate and calamine’s for dishes the temperature for all foods and preparing the food.

As a cashier it was easy there wasn’t much staff it was often slow so most of the time I would clean the bathrooms clean and mop the floors by morning till the end of the day. I would do the inventory as well when it came in sometimes. Check all expiration dates on the candy and soda. Refill the coolers and clean the doors. Sometimes I would have time to help cars through and clean them.
