  • Through Cleveland Clinics innovation department I collaborated with ICU nurses to create a communication board for patients with developmental or physical disabilities that did not allow them to communicate with us otherwise.
  • I am a part of Shared Governance on our unit and have completed several projects. One of those projects being a binder for standardizing education in the ambulatory setting for our new hires during orientation.
  • An abstract that I submitted about "Standardizing Nursing Education in the Ambulatory Setting" with two other nurses was accepted for presentation at the 2024 Shared Governance Conference.
  • I participated in the 2024 STEM day presented by Swegalok at Progressive field. Through interactive activities, I taught middle school children about the GI system, what ostomies are, and how they function.
  • I collaborated with a graphic designer to create sweatshirts/t-shirts for the Colon Cancer Alliance Walk to end Colon Cancer in 2023 and 2024.
  • I worked with my manager Kristina to put together a fundraiser on our unit for the walk to end colon cancer.
  • I created a log to ensure that rooms were being checked for expiration dates on a monthly basis and assigned each caregiver to a room. The sheet is signed by that caregiver once they have checked their room(s) for the month. This sheet is updated every 6 months.
  • I update the Physician flag color sheets yearly to ensure that they are current, this allows nurses, staff, management to know what colors are associated with which surgeon, APP, or CA.
