- My duties as an Anesthesia Technician is to assist the Anesthesiologists and CRNAs with care of their patients
- When in the operating room I hook up all monitors to the patient and get them comfortable on the OR table, help preoxygenate the patient and help intubate them if needed
- I am trained to know what all supplies are for and to stock all supplies in the rooms and closets and keep inventory of the medicine pyxis
- I answer stat pages throughout the day from all the CRNAS and Anesthesiologists on duty
- I am also cardiac trained to assist in the procedure and set up and down the open heart surgery room and assist the Anesthesia provider throughout the first hour of surgery
- I am also trained to assist in the TAVR and vascular procedures.
