I am a very outgoing and dedicated individual who strives for success in any environment. My experience as a veterinary technician/receptionist has taught me to multitask with answering busy phone lines while assisting clients and colleagues in a high passed environment.
At a small animal practice, I assist the doctor with routine vaccination appointments, surgeries and diagnostics of canines and felines and pocket pets/exotic animals. I would also assist with occasional emergencies throughout the day. I help with prepping surgery patients on a daily basses. I also help out at the receptionist desk with any phone calls to set up appointments or with clients who have questions.
At a small animal practice, I assist the doctor in appointments, diagnostics, and surgeries with felines and canines. I am also on a rotated on-call schedule for emergency services. My interest is in orthopedic procedures, but my love is for the wellness and overall care of all animals. I help prep patients for surgery and assist in wellness exams, surgery, administering vaccinations and nail trims. I would also work at the front desk as a receptionist and answer multiple lines and assist clients. I would also type up any reports or medical records the doctors wanted entered.
As a cattle pusher at Kist Livestock, I was in charge of taking cattle out of the auction ring and bring them to their assigned pens. I would count all the cattle that went through the auction ring to bring to the office at the end of the sale day. I would also assist the veterinarian with vaccinating cattle, pregnancy checking, and semen testing bulls.
