Responsibilities include:

• Assist and develop agents to grow their Personal Lines book of business.
• Service both Admitted and Surplus lines of business
• Handling both new business and renewal accounts across multiple systems
• Coordinate and prioritize the day to provide excellent service to attract new opportunities as well as retain existing ones
• Accounts reconciliation with respect to premiums and commissions
• Order and review Inspection and ensure the exact remedial action are taken on a timely manner
• Make sure compliance are met especially for Excess and Surplus lines
• Bind and issue policies and endorsements
• Issue Non renewals, Cancellations and Reinstatements if need be due to underwriting or other reasons
• Conduct renewal review and ensure issuance of Renewals in a timely manner
• Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters as well as retail agents
• Navigate across different carrier portals that uses different software. Also extensively use of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, OneNote and Powerpoint
• The leading carriers include Chubb, Narragansett Bay Insurance Company, Arbella, Vault, AIG, Openly, Kingstone, Travelers, Nationwide, RLI, Hudson, Markel, USLI, Stillwater, Beazley insurance etc
• Understand policy wordings and coverages of different carriers
• Effectively work independently as well as demonstrate excellent interpersonal skill within the team and also while collaborating with a team of expert underwriters and train upcoming underwriters.

With this role, I could prove my ability to think creatively and come out with problem solving solutions which was adapted company wide.

• As part of the centralized Credit Card underwriting team, managed operations at a Pan-India level
• Performed day to day Assessment and Risk profiling of Credit Card applicants from all over the country
• Accurately determined credit limits based on the potential risk exposure of applicants
• Provided first and second level sign-off on applications and gave recommendation for Card issuance
• Coordinated with the Credit Card Policy team to establish Standard Operating Procedures and improve the Credit Card underwriting process
• Handled operational queries from regional customer facing teams
• Successfully planned and met the Turn Around Time for underwriting around 100 Credit Card applications per day for an entire Quarter, to meet the Bank’s target, during a promotional event

• Successfully built rapport with Clients and Insurance companies, to effectively service the Client’s insurance requirements and thereby contributed to an increase in Client base and Revenue
• Analyzed the Insurance requirements of clients’ and provided assistance and advice on required documentation and procedures
• Prepared Broker slips, Quotation and Closing slips
• Coordinated with leading insurance companies including AXA, RSA, Zurich, Al Madina, OQIC to get the best rates, terms and conditions for our Clients
• Corporate Clients – Group Life, Workmen Compensation and Medical Insurance
• Contractor’s All Risk insurance, Property All Risk Insurance, Goods in Transit, Marine insurance, CPM, EAR b
