Accomplishments

  • I maintained a seat on a non-profit board for ten years and advanced to Board President in my last two years. I was voted president by a Board of my peers. During this time I worked closely with the two Children's Hospitals in the Portland Metro area. I also helped spearhead a whole revamp of Candlelighters For Children With Cancer, which included new programs to reach more families in need. I was also part of annual fundraising events.
  • In 2018 I received the Volunteer of the Year Award, exemplifying commitment and volunteerism from Candlelighters For Children With Cancer. This award was voted on by families, hospital staff and Board members.
