Additional Information

Back in 2015, when I first started in the Behavioral Health field, I knew I had found my passion. I started out as being one of Athens County's first Family Peer Mentors. As I strived to become a better advocate for the fam ilies I served, it also allowed me to work as a Case Manager at Health Recovery Services for 4 more additional years. When an open START FPM position at ISBH became available I jumped at the opportunity to get back to my roots of serving Athens Co. within the OhioSTART program. Alongside of working as a FPM, I also worked as a Community Behavioral Health Worker at ISBH from 2019-2023, until the Peer Services Coordinator position became open with ISBH. While working as a FPM and a CBHW I was able to grow personally and professionally in learning the skills to become a better leaded. I quickly knew that I was ready to advance my career and join the management team of ISBH. Throughout my time of serving as the Peer Services Coordinator, I have assisted 3 of my 8 counties of starting their pre-certification process for becoming certified on the national level for OhioSTART. I have spearheaded the onboarding process for all new peer roles ensuring a smooth transition. I have mentored and led my team members to maximize their potential, while cultivating a supportive and productive work environment and fostering professional growth and improving team cohesion. I have contributed to team developments and performances, resulting in improved collaboration and meeting organizational goals. I have taken on directing all peer lead programs within ISBH to ensure high-quality support and recovery focused care from a harm reduction standpoint.
