Mehana Kaneshiro

I welcome customers and serve coffee and food with a main focus on speed, quality, and customer experience. My roles include register, customer support, and barista. I received partner of the 2024 quarter and have been offered to promote to a shift supervisor.

Hula Grill is a part of the well known TS restaurants. I started in July 2021 and sadly resigned in August 2022 to solo travel Europe. Being head hostess required me to manage the other hosts, seating arrangements for the dining room and bar, run reservations and walk ins. I received employee of the month for February 2022. I gained leadership skills learned to be professional and personable even under pressure and stress.

Backyard Bowls is an extremely well known breakfast place. I worked the register, as a bowler/smoothie maker, and also helped with prep and cleaning. I became accustomed to multitasking and working well under peak hours. It is a favored place to visitors, therefore conversing and welcoming customers was a priority.

Uncle Clay’s is supported by loyal locals and visitors, therefore conversing with customers and creating a community was prioritized!

I started with prepping foods, simple cooking, and cleaning duties. I then moved on to working the counter, where I created Salads and worked with customers. It was expected that we know the menu by heart and help customers in a timely and friendly manner. Even while working the counter I supported with setup, cleanup, and prep work.
