Police Sergeant
I have been employed with the Fitchburg Police Department for the past nine years, during which I have served in the Patrol Division, Training Unit, and most recently as a Sergeant assigned to the Patrol Division’s 2nd Relief (0700–1500 hrs). Throughout my career, I have maintained an active role within the department’s Training Unit as an MPTC-certified instructor in multiple disciplines.
Since the beginning of my employment with the Fitchburg Police Department, I have consistently pursued specialized training opportunities beyond the required annual in-service training. These trainings have included Active Shooter Response (ALERRT), Field Training Officer, Human Trafficking, Detecting Armed Individuals, Firearms Instructor, among numerous other specialized courses. Through these experiences, I developed a strong interest in the training aspect of law enforcement. I recognized the importance of sharing the knowledge and skills gained from advanced training opportunities to ensure that all officers within the department are equipped with the most current, streamlined tactics available, thereby providing them with the greatest possible advantage when responding to high-risk situations.
In 2022, I obtained my first instructor-level certification as a Patrol Tactics Instructor. From that point forward, I steadily pursued and successfully obtained additional MPTC instructor certifications across multiple disciplines. The following is a synopsis of my instructor-level certifications, as well as my teaching experience associated with each certification.
