When I applied to be a barista at the Barnes and Noble Cafe, I was excited for the new opportunities, challenges, and friendships that I had encountered. I had started working there, and I instantly loved working there. Personally I like a fast pace job, whenever it is slow or empty, I always found something to do. As well, as the people there, not only my coworkers but the customers there were the nicest people there. Although I did not work at the Barnes and Noble Cafe as long as American Eagle Outfitters, the customers there were always my favorite customers. The year I had transferred to working at American Eagle Outfitters was coincidentally the same year I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I had and will always loved working at the Barnes and Noble Cafe, but working at American Eagle Outfitters was the number one job on my list. Even though I had left the Barnes and Noble Cafe before I got diagnosed, if I had stayed there longer, it wouldn't be as beneficial to me for much longer. Overall, I believe these jobs were the best jobs I ever had, and even though I had some bad days, those bad days still taught me important qualities that I can use for farther in life.
