· Spend time getting to know each Team Member, their communication style, motivation, and what helps them perform their best.
· Build trust and strong relationships through open communication, approachability, and consistency.
· Observe team dynamics and identify areas of opportunity for coaching, recognition, or development.
· Lead by example to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture where Team Members feel valued.
Store Process Implementation
Confirm & Standardize Daily Work List
- Review the Daily Work List at the start of each shift to ensure it includes all required daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Ensure expectations are clear and consistent across all shifts so that no tasks are missed.
- Update and post the next day’s Daily Work List in the Logbook and communication board before the end of the day.
Floor Lead Oversight
- Monitor how floor leads run the floor smoothly, ensuring coverage, workflow, and proactive support.
- Evaluate how they manage breaks to maintain coverage and compliance.
- Observe how they follow up with team members on assigned tasks to ensure accountability.
- Provide feedback and coaching to strengthen consistency across all shifts.
Team Member experience
- Bring up a positive environment where Team Members feel valued and respected.
- Recognize strong performance and positive attitudes during huddles or shift recaps.
- Provide regular feedback, celebrate small wins, and encourage personal development.
- Check in with Team Members regularly to understand their needs, challenges, and ideas for improvement.
- Encourage teamwork, ownership, and pride in keeping the store looking great and running smoothly.
Ø Team Communication & Engagement
- Conduct daily huddles one-to-one or groups especially when there are changes to the Daily Work List.
- Encourage feedback from Team Members to spot gaps or opportunities for improvement.
- Informed up to date promptly so everybody is aligned.
Team Leadership Development,
- Identify potential leaders among Team Members who show initiative, reliability, and strong communication.
- Mentor and train floor lead, supervisors to strengthen their leadership, delegation, and coaching skills.
- Offer opportunities for Team Members to lead small projects or parts of the shift to build confidence and experience.
- Encourage peer learning by pairing experienced leads with developing team members.
- Provide constructive feedback and celebrate leadership growth and achievements.
Ø Implementation & Accountability
- Delegate responsibilities clearly from the Work List and follow up during the shift.
- At the end of each shift, review progress and record any issues to improve future lists.
- Highlight and initial missed or incomplete tasks and follow up with the responsible Team Member.
Ø Cleanliness & Presentation
· Follow up regularly on the cleanliness of registers, SCOs, and booths.
· Ensure all work areas are organized, welcoming, and customers ready.
· Incorporate cleanliness checks into the Daily Work List for accountability.
