As the control room supervisor, I control the flow of packages through the building, ensuring all packages are unloaded and loaded into the package cars correctly. I monitor systems and report to best manage the movement of packages, identify and resolve potential interruptions to service, distribute work evenly to each area, and keep cross-functional personnel informed. Lastly I coordinate trailer arrival times to the facility as well as in what order trailers will be unloaded, this plays a critical role in order to make production numbers and makes sure we get drivers out on the road on time.
