To Whom It May Concern: Please consider this an official letter of recommendation for Melanie Harris. Melanie came to us many years ago at a time when I had suddenly found myself to be a single father of 2 boys ages 3 and 5. As a result of my job I could not juggle a home, the boys and international finance which is what I was doing at the time. Melanie was literally a miracle that was sent to our family and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her.  She made our life as we know it today possible and we consider her to be a member of our family. She actually took my oldest son Tyler to his first day of kindergarten… a memory which he still holds dear to this day, and for a 15 year old boy that is saying something. She patiently taught my youngest his ABC’s, numbers, colors and even how to tie his shoes so by the time he went to school he was well ahead of all the other children. Jake has ADD and Tyler has ADHD, both of which I might add never even phased Melanie and she was always finding creative ways to help them learn. She taught Tyler how to play football, she taught both boys how to swim, she reinforced and instilled manners in them which they are constantly complimented on to this day, she acted as my housekeeper and personal assistant and even acted as Tyler’s homeroom “mom” one year in my sons class when I had to travel. Melanie did all of these things with grace and without question. However, as wonderful as she was at doing all of these things the most important thing she gave my children was unconditional love and it has shaped them into the young men they are becoming today. I wonder sometimes what our family did to deserve Melanie as to be quite honest…  I don’t think I could have done it without her and owe her a lifetime of gratitude. There is not a human being on this planet that I trust more not only with my children but in all things, and you should consider yourself lucky to have found her. I am also told that you wanted to know what I gave to her in way of compensation. When she came to me back in 2000 I think I started her at $650 a week seeing as that she fulfilled not only the role as our nanny but also as my housekeeper and personal assistant. When she left us her pay was $950 a week with 2 weeks paid vacation, 7 paid personal days and I also gave her $100 dollars a month to help pay for her health insurance. To be honest… I would have given her even more had she asked, but she never did and said that she always thought that was a fair amount. Sincerely,Ward Porrill

• All laundry including ironing
• Watching the kids ages just now 2 4 and 6 which includes cooking and changing diapers helping them in their pajamas and their nightly routine to bringing them to the park and the pool and just entertaining them and loving them as if they were my own.
