OVERVIEW

In this role I have participated in several kaizen and lean events where from these events I applied what I learned to my daily tasks to improve processes to help provide efficiency to the role. While in my current role I have learned how to do the following:

1997 - 2001 (Material Handler 1)


  • Cycle Count - Responsible for cycle counts to help with the control and auditing of inventory coming into the stockroom and out.
  • Contract Picking - Daily picking of parts to support manufacturing for build for JAX/SWC. Processing material transactions in Cincom.
  • Sales Orders - Create and process sales orders
  • Stock - Responsible for putting away stock and recording counts, and location into the system.


2001 - 2016 (Material Handler 2)

  • The same thing as Material Handler 1 in addition to help with managing VMI (Vendor Management Inventory)
  • Learned and help establish stockroom responsibilities in the introduction to Oracle in 2007 and helped create the following responsibilities (Stocking parts, Cycle Counts, Pulling parts for shop floor build in Jax and Mexico.


2016 - Current (Material Handler 3)

  • Helped developed and use ERP reports to pick internal/external shipments
  • Processed shipping documents (packing slips, and commercial invoices for shipments
  • Helped cross functional teams to reconcile material discrepancies and made the adjustments as needed in the ERP system for traceability and accuracy.
  • Managed the approval and disapproval of cycle counts for all materials
  • Help Manage Min/Max cabinets and maintain min/max material levels and worked with sourcing/planning as needed
  • Daily checks of obsolete scrap reports and confirm internal demand before reporting out there is actual "No Demand"
  • Receive and stock incoming FR materials/supplies and performed the system transactions needed for those items
  • Support reclassification and purge requests as needed
