The skills and requirements of being a teacher, along with the desire to educate students, parents, families, and the surrounding community, are well suited to the library environment. As a retired teacher I desire to be in an academic environment but no longer want to be in a full time position. A library is a perfect place to use my skills and enable me to help others with their reading endeavors. I love learning and helping others learn so I am motivated to learn the skills necessary to perform the job well while having access to an academic environment.
