  • Support the manager and supervisor in daily administration of employee benefits and absence programs by advising and assisting employees and retirees; processing paperwork; and resolves problems in coverage, claims and cases by counseling employees and retirees on their rights and requirements; drafts reply to sensitive correspondence, and coordinates with the employees’ supervisory chain.
  • Advises employees, retirees, and dependents, individually or in groups, on specific benefit and absence program features, including integration of medical plans with Medicare benefits, integration of leave plans with Long-term Disability.
  • Manages the administration of the Medicare Advantage Plans offered to eligible retirees and dependents; educate and enroll eligible retirees into the Medicare Advantage plans with EGWP prescription in compliance with CMS guidelines.
  • Manages the preparation and distribution of retiree invoices according to retiree healthcare and life elections, ensuring invoicing is accurate and completed by the specified deadlines. Monitors retiree collections by aging reports to ensure accuracy. Prepares delinquent account notices to retiree, and negotiates with past due accounts, as needed. Prepares a quarterly Delinquent Accounts Report, if needed and initiates approval to “write off” uncollectible accounts.
  • Oversees the preparation of reporting Affordable Care Act (ACA) data to IRS and issuing 1095-C to employees and retirees each calendar year by the required IRS deadlines; Response directly to IRS notices on Employer Shared Responsibility Payment (ESRP) on their findings to determine if the Airports Authority is penalized by ESRP guidelines.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of strategic communication programs which facilitate increased awareness of benefits programs and change initiatives; leads in the design, development, and production of the Airports Authority’s Annual Healthcare and Flexible Spending Accounts, Donated Leave, and the Annual Leave Exchange Open Enrollments, as well as the total rewards statement.
  • Assists Manager in the contract administration of third-party carriers on a variety of financial, medical, and insurance plans, and software renewals. May provide input for Statements of Work and Requests for Proposals and the solicitation, evaluation, and award processes. Orders third party survey reports and requests Department membership payments as warranted.
  • Partners with Human Capital Management (HCM) manager as the benefits, retiree, and HR integration subject matter experts to define requirements and suggest solutions that will achieve department goals through utilizing Workday features and functionality to improve processes and the flow of information within the Airports Authority. Clearly communicates technical concepts in business terms.
  • Coordinates with the appropriate Software Engineer (SE) and Workday System Administrators team to ensure that 834 HIPAA standards are developed and adopted in the delivery of the Workday integration data and are adhered to by associated vendors.
