I preform general respiratory modalities to NICU, PICU, TICU, and ER patients. I setup, monitor and maintain ventilator patients with the assistance of blood gas interpretation. I also teach ventilator management classes to new and current respiratory therapist. I preform lead (resource) therapist duties which include but are not limited to assignments, EKG"s, assist with intubations and patient stabilization, I am a patient/family advocate, I also assist all therapist with their respiratory duties. I preform my daily duties to help improve the quality of life for patient and families at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

NICU/PICU/Adult Therapist

I preformed general respiratory modalities on floor care patient, as well as ICU and ER patients. I instructed patients on proper use of equipment and medications. I maintained ventilators, NIPPB, and CPAP machines on patients. I attended all high-risk deliveries, resuscitated as required, initiated ventilators on infants and children, and preformed bedside PFT's. I worked mainly with neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, but I also worked with adults in the intensive care units and surgical heart unit. I assisted with any other needs of the hospital, all to improve the quality health care of the patients.
