As Business Office Manager I am responsible for collecting private pay payments and patient responsibility. I assist residents in the process for applying for Medical Assistance, gathering information pertaining to the application and sending it to the County Assistance Office. I maintain the Resident Trust Fund, balancing it monthly and using the fund for beautician transactions and paying the beauticians. I am also responsible for Accounts Payable.
I was full time at this position until I went casual due to accepting the position at Somerset Healthcare. I am training the new Business Office Manager. I was responsible for AR, mainly private pay, and applying for Medical Assistance. I still do the Accounts Payable and Resident Trust Fund. I will leave this position once the new BOM is comfortable working on her own.
In this position I was responsible for the complete AR to consist of private, Medicare, Managed Care and Medicaid. I followed up on claims, claim denials and private pay payments. I assisted residents with applying for Medical Assistance gathering information and forwarding it to the County Assistance Office. I was also responsible for the Resident Trust Fund.
