- Monitoring dosimeters to ensure that they are in good working order and ready for issue, and removal of defective devices from service
- Pre-issuance of dosimeters to individuals with weekly TLD mailboxes
- Manual issue of dosimeters when computer systems or printers are unavailable, including use of daily Not Authorized and Qualified Daily Radiation Control Reports to validate worker qualifications and draw status

- Daily maintenance, calibration and operation of the Harshaw 8800 TLD reader, as well as its associated computer software and processing algorithms
