• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity Level III perinatal setting managing complex maternal-fetal cases.
• Provide advanced assessment and management for high-risk pregnancies including hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, multiple gestation, and obstetric complications.
• Continuously interpret and respond to fetal heart tracings, uterine activity, and maternal assessments, initiating timely interventions and provider escalation.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, operative deliveries, cesarean sections, and labor inductions in collaboration with OB hospitalists and anesthesia teams.
• Stabilize high-risk neonates and coordinate seamless transition of care to Level III NICU services when indicated.
• Lead patient education initiatives focused on postpartum recovery, warning signs, breastfeeding support, and newborn safety to enhance discharge readiness and reduce readmissions.
• Conduct structured phone triage and post-discharge follow-up calls to assess maternal and newborn recovery, identify complications early, and coordinate appropriate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB/GYN, maternal-fetal medicine, anesthesia, and NICU specialists to ensure continuity of care in complex cases.
