Summary

Experienced with nursing administration, focusing on patient care and staff management. Utilizes effective communication and leadership skills to foster cohesive and efficient team. Track record of ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and improving patient outcomes.

My nursing experience can be summarized in many ways, but I would like to say that I have been there when the eyes of a newborn have opened, and I have held the hands of a dying man as his eyes closed for the last time. As a nurse, I have brought the needs and wounds of the sick and hurting to the attention of physicians and I have made a career doing so. For several years, I have felt this nudge to lean into a deeper calling of still bringing the needs and wounds of the sick and hurting to attention but in a much different light and to a much higher power. My passion has evolved to now having a strong desire to bring the needs of others to the Ultimate Healer.

As a child that grew up in a home full of poverty, hate, addiction, abuse, violence, and so much brokenness; statistics did not give me much of a chance that I would overcome those obstacles. However, if my mother did anything right, she let me go with friends to children's ministry when I was small, and I will never forget about the individuals who taught me that even when I was afraid, even when I was lost and alone listening to my parents fight and the police would come to take us away - even in all of that; there was a man named Jesus that loved me and would hold me through all of it. I would pray just like I learned at Sunday school as a little girl under my covers or hiding in my closet, and I will never forget those moments that when I should have been afraid, I was not because I was loved and I was not alone because my friend named Jesus was there.

At five years old, someone taught me about Jesus and I have realized throughout my journey as a nurse, mother, and Christian that you can instill and start that fire at such a young age and you can reach what society may consider the "unreachable" in even the small time slot of one hour per week. I have done a lot of work as an adult to peel back the hard layers with God to find that little girl inside of me that had faith the size of a mustard seed; and I realized in my walk with Jesus, that is where it starts. My passion starts with children and instilling the love of Jesus in their lives just as those men and women did for me when I was young. God is pressing on my heart that this is my time to give back the most beautiful gift that was given to me so long ago.
