Investigate and potentially prosecute cases for District Attorney offices in the State of New Mexico where a perceived conflict of interest exists or when it's deemed in the public interest to have an independent investigator.

Manage the offices of the 8th Judicial District Attorney, mentor attorneys, and represent the office in all functions before legislative bodies. Ensure compliance by all other employees with the District Attorney's policies and directives and advise the District Attorney on employment issues. Work with law enforcement at crime scenes, and prosecute as required high-profile or significant cases.

Acting as the Chief Operating Officer and litigator. Assist and advise the Attorney General, oversee departmental operations, and supervise organizational units while ensuring that the office fulfills its mission.

As the First Judicial District Attorney, and the highest elected law enforcement official of the district, I served the communities of Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties, and prosecuted on behalf of the State of New Mexico. I ensured FJDA's mission to uphold justice and ensure public safety through fairness, accountability, and transparency in the criminal justice system.

Worked closely with law enforcement agencies, service providers, and community organizations to seek justice and advocate for those affected by crime.

As Assistant Attorney General (AAG) provided support to Attorney General (AG) on legal matters, handling a variety of tasks such as legal research, advising the AG, appearing in court, and communicating with government officials and the media.

Prosecuted criminal and non-criminal cases and felony cases under supervision, including but not limited to adult and juvenile burglaries, property crimes, armed robberies, drug trafficking, mental commitments, probation violations; acted in rotation as on-call attorney; performed legal research for other attorneys; assisted on trial teams; performed non-prosecution duties as assigned; worked with law enforcement at crime scenes; performed non-prosecution duties such as community outreach; participated on task forces and other groups as assigned.

Advised on personnel issues, reviewed and advised on department contracts. Provided additional support to Interim General Counsel.

Provided legal defense for the State of New Mexico. Supervised outside counsel firms, supervised high-profile litigation.
